Finding Time to Eat

Finding Time to Eat

I don't know about you, but eating properly used to be a simple excersize. Now between cutting crusts off sandwiches, peeling manderines and grapes for that matter, thinking about what they will have for their next snack, then dinner. Cleaning up the mess from the floor, drinks that get spilt and new clothes required, nappy changes and then requests for stories, and who can refuse reading a story it is a great way for kids to learn. But where does my lunch fit in? I find myself eating leftover marmite sandwiches and half eaten bits of apple as I attempt to stop the grumbly tummy. Perhaps I should get up earlier and prepare the meals in advance? That's what my mother said she used to do, or even better, do it the night before? Yeah right, when before or after folding the washing, mopping the floor, vacumming, wiping up sticky tables, emptying the rubbish bins, reading night time stories, settling teething babies. You get my picture? I never thought I was unorganised, but lately I am opting for prepackaged food! Something my healthy body and mind beats itself up for all night.
Does anyone have any great ideas that don't mean thinking too much about anything?
